Members' Preview

Thursday, May 9 • For one night only, WAG members can visit this stunning exhibition for free—the exhibition surcharge is waived just for you. No RSVP required, but please ensure you bring your member card(s). Doors open at 6pm, with remarks at 6:30, followed by a performance by the Winnipeg a cappella singing group Antiphony, who have performed at Carnegie Hall with famed conductor Eric Whitacre.You are welcome to bring a guest, but the full surcharged admission rate applies. Guests are encouraged to sign up for membership that day to receive $5 off a regular membership.

The Collection: A Fashion Show

Wednesday May 22, 6pm • The Gallery Shop presents one-hundred looks for the WAG's Centennial! A runway that winds through six galleries, spring collections that will make you swoon, exquisite jewelry designed by Canadian artists, and a champagne reception with hors d'oeuvres and shopping. Doors open at 6pm, fashion show begins at 7pm. • $40 members, $50 non-members

Write to Art

Saturday, May 25, 9:30am-4pm / Sunday, May 26, 1pm-4pm • Marjorie Anderson and Deborah Schnitzer are back with another workshop that weds creative writing to visual art, this time in response to the exhibition 100 Masters: Only in Canada. In this two-day workshop, participants will be guided through individual and group exercises that will enhance and enliven their writing practices whatever their current writing projects and levels of experience.

There is space for only 25 people, so register early to ensure your spot.  $150 members / $170 non-members (includes coffee/tea both days and a light lunch on Saturday). Reserve your spot online by clicking here or send an email to education@wag.ca or call 204.789.1290.
